What is stop motion/action animation?
It is an animation created by physically moving real-world objects and photographing them one frame at a time. The photos are then played sequentially very quickly to give the effect of movement. Professional stop-motion usually has 12-24 frames per second. For our purposes, we will only take about 4-10 frames per second. So plan to take at least 300 photographs. I know, it sounds like a lot, but it goes by really fast if you're focused.
Use your time wisely! Remember you're only showing key scenes in your adaptations, and it might take 30 photographs just to move a character from one place to the next. |
